The Plan of Salvation from the Westminster Shorter Catechism
Michael Faraday, the great scientist, was once asked: "What is the
greatest discovery you ever made?"  After some thought the noted
scientist replied: "When I discovered that I had a Savior." That is the
greatest discovery we want every person to make. In order to discover
that you have a Savior it is first necessary to realize that you need a
Savior. And so our first lesson is:

I.  Why do I need a Savior?
        Catechism Questions 14-19, 84

II. What has the Lord Jesus Christ done to save me?
        Catechism Questions 23-26

III. What does the Holy Spirit do to save me?
        Catechism Questions 29-31

        (According to I John the three evidences of the new birth are
faith in Christ, love    for one another, and doing right.)

IV. What does God, the Father, do to save me?

V. What does God ask of me to be saved?
        Catechism Questions 85-87
